Booking Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all accommodation bookings made via the Oxfordshire Cotswolds website (www.oxfordshirecotswolds.org) or any of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds Visitor Information Centres.

1. The accommodation will be booked for you by the Oxfordshire Cotswolds Visitor Information Centre (VIC) as an agent for the accommodation provider. Any contract for the booking is therefore directly between you and the accommodation provider. On arrival at the accommodation establishment, you should check that the accommodation is as booked, including type of board and price.

2. The VIC will charge you a deposit and (except for automated online bookings) a booking fee. The deposit represents 10% of the value of your first night’s accommodation, and this amount will be deducted from your final account by the accommodation provider. Neither the booking fee (if applicable), nor the deposit are refundable for any reason whatsoever.

3. Once the booking has been made by the VIC, any subsequent alterations or amendments to the accommodation booked should be discussed and agreed direct with the accommodation provider.

4. If you fail to take up the accommodation by the time stated without prior arrangement with the accommodation provider then the booking will automatically be considered void and the booking fee (if any) and deposit forfeited. The accommodation provider may also be entitled to charge you a cancellation fee.

5. If you decide to cancel the booking without taking it up, the accommodation provider may also be entitled to charge you a cancellation fee.

6. All accommodation registered with the VIC has been assessed by VisitBritain or the AA. Whilst the VIC makes every effort to find suitable accommodation, it cannot be held responsible nor accept any liability for complaints or claims of any nature arising from the booking, nor any loss or damage which may be suffered by you or other members of your party, during or as a result of your stay at the accommodation establishment.

7. To the best of the VIC’s knowledge, all prices quoted are inclusive of VAT and service.
