Look out for the Green Tourism Business Scheme logo: businesses showing the logo have been assessed on their efforts to reduce their environmental impact. Each business has been judged against a wide list of measures (over 120), including energy efficiency, waste minimisation, recycling, local purchasing and promoting public transport. By choosing one of them for your stay, you will be helping to keep the Oxfordshire Cotswolds special!

Step into the Cotswolds

Many of the Green Tourism businesses also take part in the Step into the Cotswolds visitor payback scheme. Under this scheme visitors are encouraged to make a small additional contribution. All the money raised is spent on projects that help to conserve the Cotswolds, make them more accessible or tell people about their special features.
