Stanton Harcourt is a small village dating from a Bronze Age settlement, this most attractive village is noted as the home of the Harcourt family who resided there between the 12th-18th century. The Norman church contains the tomb of Robert Harcourt, Henry Tudor's standard bearer at Bosworth Field (1485) and the remains of the standard hang above his tomb. Rich in history and heritage, the village has been a focus for archaeologists for many years including the Channel 4 programme 'Time Team'
