Chastleton House is one of England's finest and most complete Jacobean houses. It is filled with a mixture of rare and everyday objects, furniture and textiles collected since its completion in 1612 by members of one family, in continuous occupation. The gardens are typically Elizabethan and Jacobean with a ring of fascinating topiary at their heart. The house is being conserved rather than restored by The National Trust.
Admission is by timed entry and tickets are sold on a first- come, first-served basis. Visitor numbers are limited to conserve the fragile nature of the house. Please note that at busy times entry cannot be guaranteed. The ticket office opens at 12.30pm. Last admission to the house is 1hr before closing.
Chastleton House is open every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1.00pm until 5.00pm with last admissions to the house at 4.00pm.
