Kelmscott Manor was the summer country home of William Morris, the poet, craftsman and socialist from 1871 until his death in 1896. The house which is open to the public, contains a collection of the possessions and works of Morris and his associates including furniture, textiles, carpets and ceramics. Surrounded by attractive gardens, with restaurant, shop and exhibition barn.
House & Garden: open Wednesdays (2 April to 24 Sept) 11am-5pm and on some Saturdays 2pm-5pm (19 April; 17 May; 21 June; 5 & 19 July; 2 & 16 Aug; 20 Sept). Last admission to the house 4.30pm.
Garden only: Thursdays (3 April to 25 Sept) 2pm-5pm
