Wendy Hughes - Fragments

Wendy Hughes is a textile artist living and working in Oxfordshire. Her work straddles the zone between fine art and textile design. Wendy creates “landscape inspired” hangings, rough edged and heavily stitched installations which have an effortless randomness and irregularity in contrast to the hi-tech mass produced world in which we live. Her design work is wearable accessories such as hats, fascinators, bags and jackets, based upon organic forms and her passion for colour.
