The Green Tourism Project, managed by the Cotswolds Conservation Board in partnership with West Oxfordshire District Council, is here to help local tourism businesses. Whether you want to take one small ‘green’ step at a time, or gain recognition and reward for all your ongoing sustainable management practices, the project has a range of activities that you can get involved in:
Commercial recycling; local distinctiveness and green gardening workshops for tourism businesses are being brought to you by partner organisations including the National Trust, Tourism South East, Oxfordshire County Council. You can download the programme of workshops and an application form.
West Oxfordshire tourism businesses can enjoy 50% off GTBS joining and grading fees. This offer is subject to registering a GTBS application by the end of March, 2008.

The Cotswolds Conservation Board is keen to hear from businesses interested in forming a web or meetings based, sustainable tourism business network. A ‘new’ sustainable tourism business mini website will be developed this Spring. Please contact Sue Perry (details below) to register your interest.
The ‘Step into the Cotswolds’ scheme offers businesses an opportunity to support small scale projects which help conserve and enhance the local landscape. At the same time ‘Step into the Cotswolds’ can help you and your visitors further understand and enjoy the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
