VisitBritain

VisitBritain is Britain's national tourism agency, responsible for marketing Britain overseas and developing the visitor economy. Their corporate website includes sections on:

• headline tourism statistics - key headline tourism statistics for the UK
• detailed visitor statistics - comprehensive statistical information about visitors to the UK from overseas and limited annual information about domestic overnight tourism and serviced accommodation occupancy
• publications - regular publications, including Market Profiles, Foresight, Trends Update and Arrivals
• country research - comprehensive market intelligence about each market in which VisitBritain has a presence
• segments, sectors & issues - analysis and commentary on a wide range of issues that impact on tourism along with research material that relates to different segments, for example 'Youth' or sectors, for example 'Culture and Heritage'
• trends & forecasts - information that helps to explain current tourism trends, including historic and forecast economic data by country, exchange rate trends and how the age and gender profile of visitors to the UK compares with the resident population of each country
• more resources - signposts to other sources of tourism market intelligence.

VisitEngland

The official tourist board for England, their corporate website includes (at a national level):

• detailed figures on overnight domestic tourism
• detailed figures on serviced accommodation occupancy
• annual and quarterly figures on the number of visits to visitor attractions in England
• results of surveys of tourism day visits in England
• industry assessment of recent performance and expectation for the coming period
• a factbook for tourism in England
• findings from ad hoc market research studies, including a number of projects relating to the impact of the ‘credit crunch’

Tourism South East

The regional tourist board for South and South East of England, including the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. Their tourism facts page gives regional data on:

• tourism volume and value
• accommodation occupancy
• attraction visits
• visitor profiles
• reports on key sectors and how tourism in the South East is performing.

Oxfordshire Cotswolds
