Idbury, close to the Westcotes and enjoying the same extensive views across the Evenlode Valley from just off the high road between Stow and Burford, is a small, quiet village offering an escape from the rush. Idbury church preserves some ancient woodwork and The Countryman magazine was founded in the tall Idbury Manor in 1927.
There is a downloadable walk passing through Idbury:
Kingham Station Circular (pdf 161k)
A number of bike rides that pass through the village can be found on our free downloadable cycle rides
