Petting an alpaca at Fairytale Farm

Fairytale Farm mixes classic fairy tales, animals and adventure play to create a sensory and learning wonderland for all the family. Fairytale Farm is the UK’s first fully inclusive visitor attraction, where children with disabilities are as important in our design and layout as those without disabilities, and where no pre-booking is required. A truly inclusive experience. The park has been developed by husband and wife, Nick and Nicola Laister, who live on the Fairytale Farm site, and is an exciting mix of animals, play and sensory experiences.

The park is divided into five main zones:

'The Enchanted Walk' is a unique sensory trail with surprising features at every turn, many of which are interactive, and designed to appeal particularly to younger children.

'Huff and Puff' is an exciting playground, complete with a Fairytale Castle to explore, a combine harvester to climb on board, a special swing for wheelchair users and much more.

'Alfie and Friends' features a range of farm and domestic animals with an emphasis on those that can be held or stroked. The animals include ponies, donkeys, alpacas, goats, chickens, rabbits and South American rheas.

‘Jack's Yard’, where you can visit Mouse Town, play in our sandpit and enjoy our Café and indoor play area with Jack and the Beanstalk themed murals.

‘Fairy Dell’ is a newly developed area with a new fairy garden being developed.
