Oxfordshire Narrowboats offer day cruising from Lower Heyford
If you're not sure whether you'll enjoy the waterway life, try it out with family or friends for the day. Oxfordshire Narrowboats have easy-to-operate dayboats on the Oxford Canal based at Lower Heyford on the edge of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. With full safety features and training provided, their special design of narrowboat allows accommodation for all weathers for up to 10 people. They are easy to handle and fully enclosed with large picture windows. All have a toilet and crockery, cutlery and glassware as well as a two ring hob and central heating radiator onboard. Day hire is from 09.30 to 17.30, and a £200 refundable cash deposit is taken on arrival against the boat's safe and clean return on time.

This is an ideal way to celebrate a special occasion with friends and family - the boats are sociable areas with lots of room to chat as you cruise along. An all-weather covered foredeck allows you to still admire the scenery without getting wet! Folding chairs can be moved around - even ashore for comfortable dining so bring a picnic, moor up and hop ashore in the delightful Oxfordshire Cotswolds countryside.
