The Vines at Black Bourton

Nestling in the beautiful village of Black Bourton, just a few miles south of Burford, The Vines enjoys an excellent reputation for fine dining in elegant surroundings. It is also close to Bampton (the film location for Downton Village), Brize Norton and Filkins and many of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds' attractions are a short drive away.

Great care has been taken to design and furnish the spacious, en suite rooms to allow guests every modern convenience and comfort. Most rooms have king size beds and we also have twin and family rooms. Accommodation on the ground floor have easy direct access with French doors on to its small private patio area with table and chairs. All rooms have en suite shower rooms and the new wing features superb wet rooms with powerful showers.

There is a very large secure car park and gardens where you can sit outdoors on fine days. Guests are welcome in the lounge area of the restaurant where they can relax on our comfortable sofas by a welcoming log fire on cold evenings.

The restaurant was designed and decorated by John Clegg of the BBC Real Rooms team. It is stunning and quite different to what you might expect. Here you can enjoy lunch from our a la carte or special daily menus. You can select to have a room only or dinner, bed and breakfast package. A full English breakfast will be served in the restaurant or you can have continental breakfast brought to your room.

The cellar offers a choice of over 36 wines, including wine from the local vineyard (you might like to visit on your way through the village).
